Passages

Through vintage magazines and midcentury imagery, the collages in this body of work offer a glance back in time. The three prints are a passageway back into my own history, and represent the front doors of houses I have called home.

Collecting discarded objects and ephemera to incorporate into my work is an integral part of my process. Many of the materials I use are items that have been sent through the mail—postcards and stamps and scraps of junk mail. I am constantly seeking ways to repurpose and elevate things that have seemingly lost their value.
