Miller Patron Gallery proudly supports Andrea Cernin. Andrea has worked as a graphic designer for over 10 years. In 2020, she discovered surface pattern design and fell in love with it. Shortly after, she felt a calling to express herself with abstract art. She found her way in the pattern and painting world by creating a daily art practice. Andrea says, “I hope that my art inspires a renewed sense of curiosity, empathy, and wonder, encouraging all who encounter my paintings to embark on their own journey of self-discovery.”

Andrea received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Iowa State University in 2013. She has worked as a graphic designer for over 10 years. In 2020, she discovered surface pattern design and fell in love with it. Shortly after, she felt a calling to express herself with abstract art. She found her way in the pattern and painting world by creating a daily art practice. Andrea continues to juggle abstract painting, designing pattern collections, and freelance graphic design on a daily basis. Oh, and 2 young kids. Andrea (33) lives in Marion, IA with her husband, Keaton, and their 2 daughters; Willow (2) and Sutton (1). They also have 2 dogs and 1 black cat. You can usually find her designing in a coffee shop, drawing on her iPad, or painting in her sunny home studio.
